Water Heater Replacement

The technician performed an emergency water heater replacement after the customer reported a leak from the base of a 12-year-old unit. Upon inspection, the technician found severe rust and corrosion on the bottom of the tank, which warranted immediate replacement. A new 50-gallon gas water heater was installed. The technician replaced the supply lines and expansion tank, checked all connections for leaks, tested the pressure relief valve operation, and verified proper venting. The customer was shown the location of the shutoff valve and the drain procedure for annual maintenance. The area was cleaned, and the old unit was removed for disposal. No leaks were detected after a 30-minute test period. The job was complete.
